Japanese Nightlife

The Japanese people have diverse and a wide range of culture. These people have great social scenes accompanied by hospitality. Japanese nightlife is a lifetime experience that one couldn’t want to forget. If you are looking for a place to have some good time and really enjoy yourself, then Japan is the place to be.

Japan has many world class cities that are very developed. But the cities completely change when the sun sets. From the busy streets that always burst with people who are very busy going about their daily activities, the towns turn to an environment full of happiness, parties and celebrations. Favorite places for the night include; night clubs, bars, discos and hostess clubs.

In Tokyo, for example, the best night life could be found in Roppongi, Shibuya, Shinjuku’s Kabuki-Cho, and Ginza. These places are a boom in the hotel industry as well as other entertainment joints. The beaming neon lights and hoards of people is common phenomenon in these towns. As part of Japanese uniqueness and diversity, each of the entertainment spots has their own distinct clientele, prices and atmosphere. There is a suitable place for each class of people, also with all age groups having a suitable place for each to fit. Despite this, one thing is evident, when it comes to night life, the youth in Japan take center stage. Most probably because they have the energy and the zeal to still go out and have fun unlike the old and reserved people.

Apart from exhibiting their diverse culture, you should not be surprised because some Japanese clubs exhibit off-the-wall themes. There are plenty of topless and erotic clubs, massage parlors and sex shows. This is not a rare thing and most probably the club you will walk into, next time will be of this kind. This is so because the Japanese people are outgoing and like to have fun in whatever possible ways. It is not that the Japanese morals are questionable, but these people really know how to have fun when they are not at work.

Those people who like to have fun in a peaceful and less jumpy way, or probably enjoy live shows more than the deafening disco music, then the rock shows, jazz music and reggae music is another alternative. Someone might think that this kind of music is only reserved for the west, but it is also very true that the Japanese people have a high taste for these kinds of music. Every night there are several live performances from international artists from countries such as USA, England and Jamaica.

Exploring Japanese night life could cost a small fortune with the common mandatory “table charges” at many cocktail lounges and bars. This is traditional common practice that you should be prepared for. Another expense may arise when it comes to transport. The taxi costs are quite high especially during the late hours of the night and early morning. This is so because the last train to the suburbs is at midnight and so if you are caught out after midnight; it might cost you a bit to get to your home.
